My Favorite Handel Music

This piece keeps going soft and rebounds several times.

Handel 'Largo' - The London Symphony Orchestra

  1. Incredible! I don't really seek out classical music, but this piece, coupled with those fabulous scenes, is as powerful as anything I can think of. Beautiful work!

It's good to see you back on the site with a positive post. After the January episode, I worry about you when you disappear for long stretches. Good to see you're still vacationing!

Jack, it's kinda funny that I meant to put this on my personal blog instead of The Perpetual Vacationers one, but once it was there, I decided to leave it. It actually came about when a Facebook musician friend put something up on Facebook saying that music did not have to have lyrics to be enjoyed. Apparently a hymn has been written to go with this music, but I still prefer the one without words.

It brought me to tears and just reminded me that God is truly so good to us. Thank you for sharing this beautiful composition with us. It is truly beautiful & inspiring!

    Thank You Again,

  3. Earlier today I left a comment on your site and I also left a link to one of my blogs, but I didn't post it right...My blog can be found as
www.a-light-in-the-night.blogspot.com. If you would like to see what it's about you are more than welcome. I post about God almost exclusively and try to help those who may be in need and have no place to turn to. Feel free to comment on anything you find. Again, thank you for sharing your site and all the wonderful places you've seen and the splendid music. I throughly enjoyed it!

Bonnie, I'm so glad to know about your blog. I'm not a poet like you are, but I seem to recall only one poem that came to me that I included as part of a Christmas card one year. Thought I was never going to find a copy of the poem, but it is here http://www.flickr.com/photos/maedeans/7419507098/in/set-72157601176973333
